ADVISORY - AVIAN INFLUENZA
Please be advised that Avian Influenza has been detected in several areas in Alberta; having confirmation of the same in the County of Two Hills as of May 2, 2022. Avian Influenza is highly pathogenic and can be spread to domestic birds by wild bird populations.
Suspect an outbreak?
The County of Two Hills is providing this update as public information and is not directly involved in the notification process. Any questions should be directed to the CFIA.
Please visit https://inspection.canada.ca or follow thier facebook page for more information. Bird owners, should they suspect Avian Influenza, may call CFIA at 1-403-629-1728. For producers, particularly small flock owners with permit questions, may contact 310-FARM.

With the onset of winter, the Public Works Department would like to remind residents that the snow plowing of driveways will be available to full-time resident that qualify.
Please ensure that you are on the approved snow plow list and that you have a proper County of Two Hills Snow Plow Flag out to have your driveway cleared.
As part of the snow clearing policy: BUS routes will be given first priority Followed by county roads before driveways are cleared, so please be patient as the Snow Clearing Crew will do their best to reach qualifying residents in a timely manner. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Public Works Office at 780-657-2499.
~ATTENTION~
Lastly, due to safety concerns, the County of Two Hills asks residents to fully clear County roads of residual snow when clearing driveways and piling into ditches. Leaving the two ridges is a driving hazard and if an accident occurs the landowner is liable.
